DANG IT. I wanted Persephone gone!!!! At least I can rest knowing that I didn't personally vote for Eloritu, because I really would not have felt okay with that. But I'm still sad that he's gone!

WALK ME THROUGH YOUR CHOICE TO TELL CERBERUS TO PLAY THE IDOL/GIVE THEM YOUR PIECE. DID YOU EXPECT THE VOTES TO BE ON THEM? DID YOU EXPECT ELORITU TO BE THE ONE IDOLED OUT?

Sure thing, Bapi.
I couldn't tell who Jael, Athena, and Persephone were going to vote for. Persephone seemed dead-set on Maat/Hathy, Jael had reasons to vote out Maat/Hathy but told me now wasn't the time and that (gun to her head) she would pick Cerberus, and then Athena told Hades that she was secretly going against Jael and Persephone and would vote for Ceebee. Obviously, those details didn't quite match up.
The last hour and especially the last 15 minutes before the deadline was spent PMing people as fast as I could to try and figure out who was lying and who wasn't. Hades was positive that Athena was telling the truth b/c they have a pretty good relationship. I was dubious about Jael, but also hoping that I could trust them... but I had a feeling that she and Persephone were super close, and why would they be voting for different people?
And then, the game-changer...
Maat/Hathy suggested that Cerberus and I use the ring. I hadn't thought about that at all. I was considering using my double vote and encouraging some of my other LIfe & Death allies to do the same, but we didn't fully have a consensus on who to vote for, either. To back up a little bit, I decided I was fine with Hades voting for Eloritu, and Cerberus gave his full permission for any of us to vote for Persephone, which was surprising given that M/H thought he might turn against us if we did that since he seemed to like her (so points for him; maybe we won't have to vote him off later). Anyway, Life & Death briefly discussed using double votes and/or steal-a-votes, but as soon as M/H suggested the ring to me in a private PM, I knew that was the best plan; we could protect both Cerberus and Maat/Hathy so that neither of them could be eliminated, no matter who Jael, Athena, and Perse voted for.
Now, I expected Jael or someone to use an idol to save Persephone again, which meant that if Jael had lied or had not known about any Elo votes and there *were* votes against him... he'd be sent home. It made me sad, but I felt a tiny bit better because I never caved in to the idea of voting for him. Deep down, honest-to-God, I did not feel comfortable voting for him myself. But if he got voted out because I helped out my other friends... well, that's a risk I had to take.
I still stand by my decision. I'm gonna miss Elo, but maybe this means I have a jury member standing firmly in my corner, ready to support me and nominate me for the win.
How cool would that be, for the sole-remaining survivor of Hitorigami to be named champion?
I'm ready for it.
