Tbh I'm surprised no one is going "how about Hades instead" since it seems they've managed to really mismanage the rest of their alliance.

Very sad Dia de Los Muertos is getting veto'd. Tbh, when designing the Tokens I didn't expect people to be so....passive with them. Like vetoing is so much less effective than boosting and yet I think a majority of moves have been vetos of events they did not want to happen. Certainly would have been more interesting if instead people could have only boosted, in hindsight ofc.

ooooh, taking a shot at jesus, unfortunately all the extra votes are with hades and M&H so it's probably not going to work, but it's at least a move.

Oh no, when I had my token my main concept was 'How can I use this to benefit me as much as possible?' over anything like making the game more interesting. None of the twists actually benefit the player of the token so much as make the game more complicated to navigate, so I don't get why anyone would choose to boost something unless they really need it for some reason. My vetoing joint tribals was because I inherently dislike them.

Fair, I suppose most of the rounds were more of a "this would be interesting to watch" and as such it'd be a lot easier to decide what you definitely don't want than something else. It does give me the question of what happens if you give the power of deciding events to specs or eliminated players.

Wait Papa also has an extra vote, it's not enough but it certainly will make it a tight vote.

The first divine invention hit in the 40% unboosted, and was something we arguably didn't want to happen. I can't speak for why Athena didn't attempt to boost there, but I'm pretty sure the discussions just went veto heavy after the results of the first one.
If it hit in the 60% of the boosts from me and Jesus, people might have been more likely to see boosts happen.
(But really when I was eliminated the only one that still interested me at all was the one ark building one)

I'm sorry if my decision to gift my extra vote to poppy sends Jesus home. But he isn't actually playing that well either, the status quo doesn't actually directly benefit him, other than his M&H relationship remaining solid.

It does give me the question of what happens if you give the power of deciding events to specs or eliminated players. With specs, you run the risk of inciting bias when it comes to doling out events. Giving it to eliminated players would be an equally unreliable implementation due to the fact that they're under no obligation to keep playing since they're already out of the game entirely anyways-- how many inactives do you see go home compared to people who put their all in and care about the game?

Yeah if we can take one thing away from Nexus it's that eliminated players that aren't on the jury should never be able to influence the game in any way whatsoever.
