Future hydras (if they do actually exist - although at this point it needs to be a 100% hydra only game) need their IDs hidden from each other though. If I can hide my ID, it's possible for everybody else to hide theirs. hthe ahnswer tpo thie only obvious isesu zwith this mis rpretty qsimple to, just give them a chatzy or nhietmsog

It would help if there were or had ever been consequences for anonymous game ID rule breaking

ui think we’ve only iever dha acytion get taken oxn pliayers ohw unintentionally reveal their id explicitly (eg. through a scrteenshot poxsted in public that has idewntifying information), uabt we’ve also had at least noe case whuere no action wjas tanke ofn a player that’s done tzhis.

One problem with moderating the rule is that it's tough to make hard and fast judgments on private interactions that often don't get reported. For example, we know that people widely think that one of M+H is a specific player because they told us, in their confessional, after getting pms that gave them those vibes. But, setting aside the fact that the VAST majority of ID guesses this game have been laughably wrong, after an offense happens, the best weapon in our arsenal is (maybe) a warning. We've warned people during this game for not just making ID speculations, but acting on them, but those warnings only stop people from speculating openly--a flaw in anonymous games that has been pointed to for the last decade.
I think when someone's ID being readily identifiable becomes a trend across multiple games that's within the players' control (certainly that might be the case here), it's worth having listmod intervention before future games, but I'm not sure how interested I am in an ongoing mod-led effort to stamp out people behaving as themselves. I'm not trying to draw false comparisons, but, for example, there's a limited number of players who actively play in specific timezones, and I could see an effort to crack down on anonymity rules having disastrous impacts in that case.

I'm very pro-anonymity, to be clear. I've modkilled one of my fellow comods in this game in the past for explicitly violating ID rules (accidentally). But does someone sending messages that "sound like" a certain player violate the rule? It's tough to say. It's kind of like the Mafia side modkills--if we start modkilling for that and then someone is pretending to be Xofelf in the future (for example), and we DON'T modkill them, do we confirm they're not Xof?

When is an F2 no longer an F2?
When there's a hydra in it

I think that having one thread for each finalists to answer questions in is the best FTC format, but it is just highlighting even further how absurdly advantageous it is to be two people in one player slot.

Tbf most of that was the other half of the hydra pretending to be Noraa, but that doesn't exactly help when Noraa is in the hydra. She was trying but uh, not sure she succeeded at hiding it from pretty much anyone. Hades thinks she's SummerInWonderland. 🤣 he's told me this and said "wtf jess isn't even scary why is everyone afraid of her"... bruh

i think it really gets too subjective very fast if you try to moderate personalities.
and like, take xofelf for example; even when they're trying not to be obviously xofelf most people figure it out within like 3 PMs. im not sure they could get a single sentence past me if their life depended on it. what can we possibly do about that? so that's why it becomes more of an informal social pressure enforced thing
