Coolest ItemFor my birthday, my younger brother Simon (aged 10), drew me a feature length fantasy comic book featuring me, all my siblings, and my girlfriend. This is a picture of the front page artwork and title. While it doesn't nearly do the full story justice, which features my girlfriend as a wizard and me as a (for some reason balding??) mace wielding hero, this is probably one of the coolest "books" I own. I know the author! Sorry, I can't get you his autograph. Nerdiest ItemText Reads: 2013 OSCF State Championship ~2nd Place~ Middle School Intermediate I was a competitive chess player throughout elementary and middle school. This is one of two second place state trophies I received during my career. The State Chess Tournament functioned in five rounds. Both me and my opponent had had a clean tournament up until the final game, where we faced each other. Half way through the game, he offered me a draw. Had I taken it, we would have joint won first place. I looked at my position and decided I wanted to win. I promptly lost. Biggest AccomplishmentIn 2019, after avoiding it for years and years, I finally reached a breaking point and decided to use the free mental health services that my school offered. Although it was only ten weeks, those ten weeks with my therapist were some of the most revelatory of my life and only made me wish we had gone sooner. At the conclusion of our time together, my therapist (a birdwatcher) gave me this figurine blue bird to signify the steps I'd taken and as a general memento to remember her by. I will never forget that time and it remains one of the hardest things I've ever brought myself to do due to years of avoiding therapy out of trauma. Weirdest ItemI don't know where this man came from or what he is supposed to be. But he freaks me out. And he looks angry. It was passed down to me in my grandma's stuff, but she won't tell me where it came from either. I'm almost scared to get rid of it. He's always watching. Most Neglected ItemThis is my family's favorite board game, Codenames. It was one of the first games I bought when we started doing family board game nights and we've probably played it more times than any other game. However, it has been beat up, drawn on, torn, cards are missing, and it has been stepped on. now, could we put all the pieces in plastic bags and make it look nicer? yes. do we? no. we embrace the chaos. Every time we want to play codenames we have to take the box off the shelf, pray the "lid" doesn't let cards come flooding out, then carefully pick through the pieces to get all the cards needed for a round. And even then, we're missing the stand for the code key.
