Journal Entry #1
At long last, I have returned to Ithaca. It has been ten long years of toil, strife, and loss on the seas, yet I have overcome all obstacles. One-eyed giants, vengeful gods, scheming sorceresses, a voyage down the River Styx, and monsters of all stripes have beset me. I have lost all of my loyal servants and companions, my good ship lost to the perils of the sea. I washed up on Ithaca's shore in rags and with naught but my name - which I promptly hid. After dealing with the ingrates infesting my palace, I am reunited with my faithful wife Penelope and strapping son Telemachus. Life is good.
And yet now, I have been swept up in another grand quest at the behest of strange and foreign gods. At least I am bound to stalwart companions from my own pantheon - Kronos, Persephone, Athena, Phobos, Deimos, Hades, and even the great three-headed hound Cerberus. I am the only mortal of their number, yet I sense in this an opportunity for a mere man to write his name in the stars.
Penelope, forgive me.

Journal Entry #2
This new quest continues to draw me away from my palace at Ithaca and the arms of dearest Penelope. I have found some of my companions to be of a good sort, though I feel the strain of being the only mortal hero amongst gods. The Great Canine Cerberus has extended surprisingly good fellowship, and I have enjoyed conversing with their varied heads. Lords Hades, Phobos, and Deimos, for all their fierce reputations, have also been friendly enough. I think I should get along well with the Ladies Athena and Persephone, if only their deific attention were bestowed upon me. Old Kronos has as yet been the most aloof of these immortals.
I have encountered some difficulty in finding common ground with my companions. It seems the immortals of Olympus and the Underworld enjoy strange and mystifying diversions beyond mortal ken, such as "video games" and "ice cream". They seemed disinterested in the noble pastimes of horsemanship, warfare, and archery. I must find a way to relate to them if the quest is to succeed.
With that said, I have been beset by strange dreams of late, and have sought the wisdom of these assembled gods for their interpretation. I have included an excerpt of my propitiation of Lord Hades below.

Journal Entry #3
I write now with renewed confidence. I have enjoyed more success with garnering the attentions of these Olympians. I think I have forged good bonds with the immortals of the Underworld, namely Lord Hades and Lady Persephone, and in particular with their guardian Cerberus. Phobos and Deimos have also proved to be welcoming, if somewhat exacting in the sort of burnt offering they prefer. I suppose I shall have to send some of my servants to the volcanic island of Milos once a year to sacrifice in their name. Lord Kronos continues to be aloof, as is befitting the fallen King of the Titans.
All of my companions have now shared their wisdom regarding my strange dream, and as expected, Lady Athena's wisdom was most perspicacious. It has been prophesied that our fellowship will be rent apart in some near future, and we shall be dispersed to foreign lands. I am prepared for this endeavor, though I wish I did not need to leave my dear Penelope behind while on another quest.
