The Titans feel lethargic, even a bit disconnected. Perhaps they have more durable connections with one another, but more than one has expressed to me a sense of restlessness, citing their victories. Hades and Cerberus seem to be most active and friendly, and both have made overtures towards me. As to ties betwixt the others, it is too early yet to say. I have a sense that Athena and Persephone are friendly, but little direct evidence to that effect. I am not concerned about having missed an opportunity to travel amongst foreign gods. I question whether such haphazard meet-and-greets have real value at this stage of the quest, and much prefer my status as a “free agent.” |

Pray pardon, O Horned King, I have been much occupied with fighting for my life. I am Odysseus, called the Cunning, son of Laertes and king of Ithaca. I gained my notoriety as a general and trickster, but when it comes down to it, I am no stranger to getting into the mud with shield and spear, sword and knife, or bare fists and teeth when honeyed words fail me.
I was unfortunately detained following our sudden and unexpected transportation to the Land of the Taotie, and I regret to report that I was caught unawares for more than a day. In that time, and with no prior history, some of my new companions have written me off as of little worth. I have been working like the Furies to dissuade them of that course.
I finally have something to report - I believe I have found a glimmer of hope. When the candor of Lord Bilious and the compassion of the Ladies Maat and Hathor alerted me to my plight, I sought to divert danger through attentiveness and a willingness to collaborate with others. When this failed, I shifted tactics to aggressively seeking another to take my place on the altar.
While I was preparing to cast my fellow Titans Phobos and Deimos to the wolves, they approached me unbidden with the observation that the Hitorigami were sticking together, and the Jotunn were strong in the Land of the White Tiger...but weak among the Taotie. I seized upon this, and noting the beloved nature of the Egyptian Ladies, we devised a plan to pursue Lady Radiance, who has comported herself with less than an open demeanor. He further suggested that he had been speaking to Fili and Kili of the House of Durin, and they likewise sought for her to pass into history. Shortly thereafter, my old friend the Hellhound expressed his sorry that I seemed to be in irretrievable peril, while intimating that there was another he would prefer. When prompted, he admitted that he, too, would not be sorry to see the back of the Great Moth.
Thus, I am hopeful that I have spied a friendly harbor at last, and am bending my efforts towards securing that safety.
