We don't know a lot about African folklore. Part of this is because most folk tales were passed down through oral tradition and were not written down until relatively recently. Another part of it is despite there being so many tribes and cultures, not many people have collected stories except for the most populous regions and most have spread due to the Atlantic slave trade. However what we do know is very interesting and important. Ironically, despite not knowing a lot of African folklore, one of the characters we know most about is the Akan/Ashanti God of stories, Anansi. He is depicted in many ways, sometimes as a spider, sometimes as a humanoid spider person and sometimes a person with spider traits, but in most versions he is a trickster and a story teller. In fact one of his most famous tales is how he became the God of stories. Originally the world's stories did not belong to Anansi, but rather to the Sky God, and when asked how he could obtain the stories, he was told they could only be give if he captured Onini the Pyton, Osebo the Leopard, Mmoatia the Fairy and Mmboro the hornet. Through a series of encounters and trickery he was able to capture them all, and so all the stories of the Sky God were his. Today you will not be dealing with a story about Anansi, but rather you will be reading a series of stories I compiled for you. When you are ready to start, THIS LINK will take you to form to start a story. You will have an extremely short amount of time to read it before it goes away and is replaced by a quiz. You will then be asked questions about the story. Once you have submitted your answers, you will be given a short amount of time to read a second story, followed by a quiz. This will continue until you have read 3 stories and taken 3 quizzes.Once you start you must complete the quizzes. You only have one shot at this. You are not allowed to take any notes whatsoever. No screenshots, no taking a picture of the screen with your phone, no writing anything down a sheet of paper. This is a memory challenge not a note-taking challenge. When you wish to stop your time, fill out the starting form again and pick the "finishing option". The player who scores the highest on the quizzes will win immunity, with the tiebreaker being time to submit. Good luck to you all! Time Expectations: This challenge should take 25 minutes at the most. Communication: You may not discuss this challenge with anyone.

you might want to put the quiz behind a google form or something to prevent cheating?

even that might not work. i know this challenge is already kinda running on honor system but nonetheless if we can mitigate the risk of someone deciding to, say, start over because they ran out of time, great

you might want to put the quiz behind a google form or something to prevent cheating? Yeah there will be one to start and finish it for timing reasons, but all the quizzes lead into each other. Does that work?

hopefully. you may need a finishing thing as well - depending on whether the quiz thing tell you a finishing time - and then you can disqualify anyone who takes much more than 15 minutes

First we'll give the Questions and Answers. Do note that if someone only put part of an answer or gave something that was technically correct but not quite the answer I was looking for, I tended to give a half point. To avoid punishing someone for putting something that was correct, while also rewarding people who managed to remember more details. Question | Answer | 1. What profession does the narrator compare Osiris to near the end of the reading? | A falconer | 24. What is the last word of the story? | satisfaction |
*Delphi isn't mentioned in the story, so the Delphi Oracle was given 0.5 points **Ra was given a half point as Horus and Ra are sometimes the same being, though they are distinct **Was just looking for the pair here, but the story does also mention a crowd of people being there ***Some people mentioned them wearing the narrator's sigil, which is technically something they did but still an incomplete answer Next the scores... In 10th and 9th place with scores of 13.5 and 14 respectively... Papatuanuku and Maat & Hathor! In 8th and 7th place with scores of 15 and 15.5 respectively... Athena and Cerberus! In a 3 way tie for 4th at 18 points.... Phobos and Deimos, Persephone and Hades In a 2 way tie for 2nd at 18.5 points... Jesus and Eloritu Which means.... With a whopping 23.5 points, Jael has won immunity!
With that it is time for tribal council and YOU CAN NOW COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH.
