I think our relationship always had the biggest question mark. We really liked you both as players and thought it was best for hydras to stick together, but you were always off doing your own thing and we never knew how to merge our two games. On Taotie, we arranged a plan to save you and worried you didn’t want to work with someone who could orchestrate that. Then you went off and got out of two tribals, two people trying to target you. You had built your own resume and honestly were a force to reckon with.
When we finally met up again in the merge, you were still one of our favorite people to talk to and we thought we could go far. But you always knew what was going on and had your own agenda. It seemed like we could be great allies, but it would be at the expense of others in the game that we cared about. We didn’t want to let this happen. We made the decision that it was best you go that round as opposed to Jael because you were a much better persuader than they were. You could bring people onto your side because you weren’t as big of a target. And that posed too much of a risk. It was hard to make that decision and your reaction to it just pushed the knife in deeper. I hope that now, that you saw what we did with that elimination, you can see it was necessary for our game and understand our motive.

Ah so panda. Hm it's very interesting how you worked for me. I think you are an amazing player, deimos. You had me fooled for a long long time. I thought you were some cuddly furry panda but you most certainly weren't. And it's incredible that the way I figured it out was through my hydra buddy. Essentially, you match your tone to each person's preference and it's incredible how that works because generally people aren't able to do it that well(everyone person does it a little). But when you talked to me, you would take care to sound extra nice and not talk too much game talk. But the moment Maat came one, it was a 180 to like "YES LETS CUT ALL THEIR HEADS OFF" and I'm just over here like ... this ... is the person that just talked to me about stuffing their face with sushi a couple minutes ago... It's insane how you are able to manipulate your overall vibe/prescence/whatever you want to call it so that it is exactly what each person likes. The issue was that I was hitting it off so well with you talking about Kpop and sushi that when you started being all game-botty, I almost felt betrayed in a sense. Like I had come to believe you were this nice big fluffy panda who liked eating sushi. And this was like me realizing that you were a serial killer. Maybe that's too dramatic but like I felt BETRAYED. I never would've had issues with you at that time had Maat not started talking to you. I felt you guys were bonding but at that moment I felt like I couldn't really trust you anymore. I think later on there was a moment where I felt like you were telling Maat a lot of things that were risky to tell people(jael having idol) and I trusted you because of how genuine it sounded so you rose to 2nd place on our trust rankings. Then you plummeted downhill from there when you started doing your own thing at tribal and not talking to us about it. It showed that you didnt care about our opinion because if you cared and trusted us, you would've talked to us about it even if you knew we might not agree. All of our close allies talked to us about tribals even when they didnt agree with us and that was why you died - because we realized that you weren't a close ally. You have an amazing game overall though. The ability to manipulate the way you come off to fit each person's likings is an incredibly hard skill to master. And you are most definitely desmos that math calculator because you're calculating every move, every round, and every thing. Btw I came up with that idea but Maat said it heh taking my nerdy nerd nerd credit. You knew exactly who was who though and called us out like "Maat ur the grumpy one while Hathy is the happy one" Lmao we tried so hard to not make it seem like that. Alas to be discovered so swiftly by the panda. As for Phobos, he wasn't really there um. I mean I know he did a lot of behind the scenes(according to Deimos) and you guys basically just had Deimos be the representative. Not sure if it was a great idea since it seems like Deimos didnt have the hottest activity at times and could use a hydra buddy. Idk maybe it lowered you guys' threat level as a half hydra hydra. But yeah, I think it was an interesting choice and would love to hear if there was any reason besides just "Phobos is shy" or whatever Deimos said about that. Anyways, sorry for stabbing you and you guys had a great game having been targeted at like 6 different tribals and only dying to our almighty hands >  -Hathy |
